Gaetha
Sound Artist
Maker & Researcher
My practice exists at the intersection of presence, absence, and intimacy. Rooted in an Eastern sensibility and developed through contemporary experimental practice, I explore how sound shapes perception and human connection.
My work is an act of presentation, not definition, revealing lived emotion as it is: unfiltered, direct, and honest.

Composition
My approach is rooted in the tradition of Musique concrète. I treat field recordings and object-based sounds as raw material, recontextualizing them through a contemporary, experimental lens. This process prioritizes the visceral texture of the source, transforming the familiar into abstract sonic environments that explore the tension between presence and absence.

Live Perform
A practice in live, improvisational sound art. I combine heavy synthesis and custom DSP (Max/MSP) with the tactile unpredictability of sound objects. My performance-based work uses the computer as a conduit to explore the tension between algorithmic precision and organic, live improvisation.

Audiovisual Installation
My installations function as responsive, closed-loop ecosystems. By establishing a real-time data dialogue between sound and image, I create non-linear, immersive environments using TouchDesginer where audio and visuals continuously influence one another. This reciprocal feedback loop dissolves the barrier between the medium and the observer, transforming the space into a living, reactive entity.

Sonic Interaction Design
My work in Sonic Interaction Design explores the relationship between action, behavior, and sound. Whether developing immersive media environments or dynamic game audio, I design non-linear, adaptive sonic systems that prioritize reactivity over static playback.
By integrating FMOD for game audio implementation, I construct soundscapes that evolve in real-time. My practice focuses on building intelligent, responsive audio ecosystems where sound functions as an emergent behavior, effectively bridging the gap between experimental art, game mechanics, and sensory-driven human interaction.
