Interactive Installation: Researching & Exploring Light, Camera & Sound
In this collaborative research with Jim Dermois, we explored how light, camera, and sound can interact to form an immersive installation. Using light as input, we developed a luminance tracking system in TouchDesigner that controlled virtual strings. These data were sent to Max, where we designed a Karplus-Strong-based sound engine using gen~ and implemented microtonal tuning to match the string visuals. The result was a responsive, multichannel audio-visual environment shaped by bio-sensing and light interaction.
This project is the result of a collaborative research and experimentation process with Jim Dermois, where we explored the use of light, camera, sound, which is bio-sensing to create an interactive installation.
