Distant Presence
In moments of solitude, light is a fragile metaphor for hope, a hope often hollowed out by the relentless spiral of violence and destruction. Distant Presence is a ~30-minute meditation on existence, distance, and the weight of witnessing from afar. Built from field recordings, raw sound objects, and layered synthesis, this ambient work processes the psychological fracture of disconnection and the persistent, haunting atmosphere of recent events in Iran. A sonic exploration of how we remain present, even when we are physically and emotionally worlds away.
