Sestra Imōto
Sestra Imōto is a live project by Abtin Sadati and Jim Dermois, focusing on the sound of magnetism, tension, and noise. Working with a minimal setup, letting magnetic fields, feedback, and raw physical vibration shape the performance in real time.
PROCESS: Sestra Imōto is a real-time negotiation of tension. We operate with a minimal setup, allowing magnetic fields, feedback, and raw physical vibration to dictate the direction of the performance. We approach noise as a tactile, improvisational dialogue, manipulating found objects to force sound into existence.
RELEASE: Our debut album is a document of this process. Recorded entirely during live improvisation, the release is available exclusively on tape. (Coming Soon)
